Full stack web developer (Angular, PHP, MySQL)
Coding with Kids® is on a mission to bring the highest quality coding education to children no matter where they are on the planet. Every child deserves an opportunity to learn this fun and lucrative skill that gives access to quality employment without having to migrate.
Over the last 9 years, we have built a full suite of solutions to support our program - from registrations, and payment processing, to operations management, instructor support, and student resources, to an internal scheduling system and quality controls, and more. We build our own custom solutions when advantageous, and integrate existing solutions where appropriate (Stripe, Mailchimp, Google workspace, Moodle, Freshdesk, etc).
Our dev team is small and agile, usually only two or three developers; but very powerful and builds high quality professional software. You would be working with our lead developer who architected the entire system and built most of it. The key technologies we use are Angular, PHP, and MySQL, and we run on Amazon Web Services.
Moving forward, our software development is focused in these areas:»Extending our solutions with new features that support our instructors, operations team, and customers. This includes usability and UI improvements.
»Keep adding automation that will make the work of our team easier, faster, and less prone to errors. For example, build new algorithms, or even integrate AI to produce optimizations of class scheduling, instructor matching to classes and students, etc.
»Upgrade our entire solution to support franchising model or enable its deployment to be used by new partner organizations across the world.
Work location: Our headquarters are in Redmond, but this position can work remotely.
