ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Multi-Year Progressive Curriculum
Join our academy and start climbing the Coder's Ladder! Similar to martial arts belt system, the ladder defines programming skills from beginner to advanced levels. Achieving Level 10 means mastering all fundamentals of software development.
With each level, students gain proficiency in more advanced programming concepts and learn how to design and build more complex projects. Levels are taught in age and experience appropriate development environments, from Scratch to professional languages, such as Python or Java.

Level 1 Course Info
Classes accept new students every 4 weeks
- Subscription is available for once-a-week Coder’s Ladder classes and private classes.
- Subscription is valid for 12 consecutive months of classes.
- Annual subscription is highly discounted and consequently refunds or credits are extremely limited and carry high cancellation fees. Please, see our cancellation policy.
- Purchased subscription will be applied to your registration starting with the first day of the next billing cycle after your purchase. Check the Coder’s Ladder Billing Calendar for dates.
- If you are already registered for a Coder’s Ladder class, just purchase the subscription package of your choice and it will be automatically applied, starting with the next billing cycle.
- If you are not currently registered for a Coder’s Ladder® class, select the class you would like to attend and during the checkout steps select an annual subscription.

Getting Started
Join Any Time
Enrollment is open year-round, typically every 4 weeks. Tuition is collected every 8 weeks. If you join in the middle of a pay period, our system will prorate your tuition automatically.
Welcome Class
Each new student will join a Welcome Class in the weekend before the first class. The Welcome Class brings a group of new students together, introduces them to the coding environment for their level, explains the coding language(s) they will be using and lets the students build a few small projects to ensure a seamless transition into their ongoing class. The Welcome Classes are unique to each level and are taught by instructors experienced with the full content of each level. After completion, students will be ready to join their regular class. The Welcome Classes last 2.5 hours (or 1.25 hours for Little Coders).
Policies
- Our classes run continuously and new students can join throughout the year.
- Students continue in their current level until they are ready to graduate to the next level. Completing a level typically takes 6 to 9 months, depending on each individual student. (We track individual progress for each student on their score card. Students progress through the curriculum at their own speed.)
- Make-ups: We offer 30 minutes of one-on-one office hours time with your instructor to make up for scheduled absences. If you know you will miss a class, please, inform your center manager at least one (1) day in advance. We will be happy to help you set up the make-up time with your instructor. No make-up time will be provided for unannounced absences.
- Billing. Coder’s Ladder registration is for an ongoing class. Your card will be charged prior to each billing period. Billing periods are normally 8 weeks, but the actual length and number of classes may vary from 5-8 weeks depending on billing cycle length and class holidays. We will always send a reminder before the next scheduled payment.
- Cancellation. If you wish to discontinue the program, you may cancel your classes prior to the next payment. You will not be billed again and can finish attending the classes that are already paid for.
